Hi!
My name is Federica Manca, and I come from Carbonia, a former mining town in southern Sardinia, an area shaped by centuries of mining history and stories waiting to be discovered.
Since 2015, I have been sharing these stories with travelers from all over the world.
I don’t just tell them, I take you to the places where they happened: scenic hiking trails surrounded by Mediterranean nature, overlooking the sea, and deep inside abandoned mines that once echoed with the voices of miners and now rest in complete silence.
In 2025, I founded Sardinia is Mine, a project dedicated to exploring southern Sardinia through mining, nature, and cultural tours, combined with educational experiences in both natural and urban environments.

I am covered by professional public liability insurance and equipped with a GPS device with an integrated satellite communicator, ensuring that we can always be reached by emergency services, even in areas without mobile phone coverage. I am also certified in Outdoor First Aid.
